(Summary description) One of the most important application fields of rare earth permanent magnet NdFeB materials is an important basic material supporting the modern electronic information industry. , as large as automobiles, generators, medical instruments, etc., permanent magnet materials are ubiquitous. It is precisely because of the wide application of rare earth permanent magnet materials that the size of many electronic products has been further reduced and the performance has been greatly improved.

The current situation of the global rare earth permanent magnet industry:

In recent years, due to the high production cost in developed countries and the continuous decline in the price of magnets in the international market, it is unsustainable to continue to produce magnets in these countries. Therefore, the magnetic material enterprises in western developed countries represented by the United States and Europe have carried out industrial adjustment. Great changes have taken place in the international pattern of NdFeB industry. In terms of sintered magnets, Ugimag in the United States was sold to McQueen in 2000. In 2003, McQueen made an industrial adjustment to shut it down and transferred the production of magnetic materials to China. At the beginning of the 21st century, the British Morgan Group acquired the vacuum smelting company (Vacuumschmelze or VAC) of Germany's Siemens and the American Crucible Company, but in June 2003, the Morgan Group closed the American Crucible Company (Crucible). In 2005, the Morgan Group sold the German vacuum smelting company to JPMorgan of the United States. At present, the rare earth industry in the United States has gone from the glory of the past to the decline of today. There are only two sintered NdFeB manufacturers in Europe, one is a vacuum smelting company in Germany and the other is Neorem in Finland. In June 2003, Hitachi Metals purchased the shares of Sumitomo Tekin under Sumitomo Metals, becoming the world's largest NdFeB manufacturer. In terms of bonded magnets, most of the global production capacity is concentrated in Japanese companies.
